The Mexican state has started its migration to Tetrapol IP while incorporating performant MXLINK services

Mexico, 17 March 2020 - Airbus SLC in Mexico has started the modernization of Chihuahua’s radio communication network. Through this migration, the Government of the State of Chihuahua ratifies its trust in Tetrapol open protocol technology provided by Airbus, that supports the National Radio Communication Network.

The network will benefit from mission-criticalbroadband services with LTE technology provided by MXLINK, the first virtual mobile security operator of its kind in Mexico and Latin America. In this way, the security forces will be able to communicate through voice, data transmission, multimedia messaging, real-time video and geolocation in a totally secure way, one by one and / or in groups.

Among the many additional benefits of MXLINK are the different modules of Airbus SLC's Secure Software Solutions (3S) suite, such as the Police Action Tracking System (SSAP), which allows the monitoring of the activity of police officers on the scene. The SSAP generates control and supervision mechanisms which guarantee the police forces’ optimal performance of the police, from their arrival to the scene, to the filing of the mission for the Public Ministry.

For its part, the Homologated Police Report (IPH), allows digital access to this format, created in accordance with the regulations issued by the National Council of Public Security. In this way, the times and the probability of errors are reduced, thanks to an intuitive and easy-to-understand interface that guides the user through a menu of options, avoiding the use of paper and replacing manual report filling.

At the end of the process, the network will cover 93%  of the state's population and reach full integration to the Emergency Call Attention Center 9-1-1, in addition to guaranteeing critical communications of the operation and police deployment of the public security agencies of the three levels of government.

Along with Chihuahua, twelve states have already updated their Tetrapol networks to IP protocol. Aguascalientes, Baja California Sur, Colima, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Morelos, Nayarit, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala and now Chihuahua. This enables full compliance with the National Public Safety Strategy provisions, established by the current federal government. In addition to this, fourteen states are currently operating hybridly; Baja California, Campeche, Chiapas, Durango, State of Mexico, Guerrero, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, Puebla, Sinaloa, Tabasco, Veracruz, Yucatán and Zacatecas.
